If your looking for a normal Monkey Bread recipe. . . this is not your recipe! I made a big ol’ mistake and missed an ingredient or two while trying to make the normal stuff. . . and it turned into. . . well. . . something quite delicious! So I’ve named it Funky Monkey Bread. Give it a try, it may not be the normal yummy Monkey Bread your used to. . . but its pretty darn tasty and it only takes 4 ingredients!
Funky Monkey Bread Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Cans (16.3 oz each) Pillsbury Grands! Homestyle Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuit
3/4 Cups Butter or Margarine, Melted
1.) Heat oven to 350°F.
2.) Grease 12-cup fluted tube pan with Cooking Spray.
3.) In a gallon size zip-lock baggie, combine 1/2 cup Brown Sugar and Cinnamon.
4.) Separate dough into 16 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
5.) Shake dough pieces in the baggie and arrange covered pieces in the fluted pan.
6.) In small bowl, mix 1 cup brown sugar and butter and pour over the biscuit pieces.
7.) Bake 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in the center.
8.) Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving place. Serve while warm.
Note: If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container and next time you want to enjoy this yummy treat, microwave for 20 seconds and it will be delicious all over again.
